2016…BRING IT ON!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! While 2015 was a mixed bag, my gut tells me that 2016 is going to be a terrific year for all. As the old one drew to a close, one of my favorite pieces, "Green Goddess" in soapstone, was sold at CANVAS on the day before Christmas. It was extra sweet for two reasons: I LOVE Canvas Malibu and my baby a forever home. I'm hoping the good news will inspire me to carve again after a sabbatical that lasted nearly a year. I have a ton of ideas, and the stones in my studio are yelling at me to get cracking.  I'm hoping that El Nino allows me to get at it in the next few days, since the things we do, say, and think during the first 12 days of the new year are significant, because they set the pattern for the next 12 months. So, bring it on, 2016!
